The weather was sunny and cold. It was 21 degrees when Chris & I showed up to prep the courses at 8 am. It warmed up to the high 20’s as the day wore on.
The gas line was mostly windy at 4-5 mph with changing direction. Scores on the gas line suffered for all shooters as a result, but the worst performer was KeithK with a 9 out of 30. He didn’t help himself by having a scope out of alignment on the mounts, causing him to give up after a few lanes in the woods. The open course, though difficult, was awesome training as the mirage was clearly visible.
Winds calmed considerable once we moved into the woods and the scores reflected it.
Since we shot all 28 lanes of both the Gas Line and Woods course the time to shoot the match was almost 4 hours.
During 2022 the match schedulke is going to shift to the second Satuday of the month for the Twin Cities Venue.
All the best!
Keith
